Search Tool Fails to Find Files with Periods in Namespace/Folder Paths on Windows

Bug Description
Search tool regularly returns no results (incorrectly). I'm on Windows. many times, the folders in the search path (correctly) have periods in them e.g. "MyNamespace.MySubNamespace/Folder/File.cs"
