[BUG] Typed text is showing up outside of the chat box. Please help!

Bug Description
I have a serious issue that is preventing me from using Claude. It all started when I hit Ctrl+v to paste some text into the chat box in the terminal. Ever since then, the text that I'm typing randomly ends up outside of the chat box. Pressing up or down doesn't cycle through my chat history. Instead is outputs "[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A" outside the chat box. Often the first character I type is inside the chat box and then the next character is outside (see screenshot). Sometimes I can get Claude to start something, but when it asks me a Yes/No question, my answer ends up outside of the box and I have to abort, which I assume just cost my company some money.
Sometimes it works, most of the time, I can't type anything. I tried clearing out everything so I can just start fresh, but nothing clears the history. It's like there is an escape character in my chat history that breaks everything. I haven't seen anyone else having this issue. Please help!
Steps to Reproduce
- Press Ctrl+v in the chat box to paste text into the chat box
- If that doesn't work, try copy and pasting escape characters into the chat box
Expected Behavior
Text should always appear inside the chat box
Actual Behavior
Text shows up outside of the chat box, making it unusable.
Additional Context
The STR might not work since no one else seems to have this issue. Is there a way to complete reset everything in Claude?
