[BUG] Windows 11 – Claude Code loops on Git for Windows “Enter passphrase for id_rsa”

Environment

  • Claude CLI version: 1.0.61
  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Terminal: Windows PowerShell // Cursor

Bug Description

Each time I start claude on Windows, the Git for Windows pop-up
Enter passphrase for C:/Users/<user>/.ssh/id_rsa appears 4-5 times per message chat. (each tools)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Code globally
  2. Open a PowerShell in an empty folder (or not), run claude.
  3. Pop-up appears
  4. Closing the pop-up or typing any passphrase

Expected Behavior

Enter only one time the passphrase
