[BUG]
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jul 27, 2025 by idin Closed Jul 27, 2025
Environment
- Platform (select one):
- [ ] Anthropic API
- [ ] AWS Bedrock
- [ ] Google Vertex AI
- [x] Other: Claude Mobile App (Android)
- Claude CLI version: N/A (Mobile App)
- Operating System: Android 14, One UI 6.1
- Terminal: N/A (Mobile App)
Bug Description
Voice mode randomly stops listening mid-word and processes incomplete input without waiting for manual button press or natural pauses.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Claude mobile app and activate voice mode
- Start speaking normally in longer sentences
- Voice mode randomly stops listening mid-sentence
Expected Behavior
Voice mode should work as manual push-to-talk where I press a button to stop listening and trigger response. Should NOT automatically detect pauses or stop listening on its own. Even if detecting pauses automatically, should only stop at actual pauses, not randomly during active speech.
Actual Behavior
- Cuts off mid-sentence with no pause from me
- Sometimes interrupts while saying a word
- Processes incomplete sentences (missing verbs, incomplete thoughts)
- Randomly stops listening without pressing any button
- Forces speaking in unnaturally short bursts
- Happens every other message
Additional Context
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (SM-S908WZGEBMC)
Manual push-to-talk feature not working - behaves like faulty automatic voice detection that triggers randomly during continuous speech.
