Ultraplan remote session became unresponsive, losing extensive iterative planning work

Bug Description

A remote ultraplan session (/ultraplan) was launched and ran successfully for an extended period. The user iterated extensively with the remote Claude session to build a comprehensive implementation plan. After the iteration was complete, the web client stopped responding to edits — the session became unresponsive/frozen.

The user lost the ability to continue editing or interacting with the plan in the web session. The plan content was only recoverable by manually copy-pasting from the frozen web UI back into the CLI session.

Session Details

  • Session URL: https://claude.ai/code/session_01X8XfF1budmMzEBV2tLg1VB
  • CLI version: 2.1.92
  • The initial launch timed out with "no approval after 30 minutes" but a second attempt connected successfully
  • The remote session ran and produced a detailed plan through multiple rounds of Q&A
  • After completion, the web client became unresponsive to further edits

Expected Behavior

The remote ultraplan session should remain interactive and responsive after plan creation, allowing continued iteration and editing.

Actual Behavior

The web client froze/became unresponsive after the plan was created, forcing the user to manually copy the plan content back to their local CLI session. Significant time and iteration effort was at risk of being lost.

Impact

  • User spent significant time iterating on a complex feature plan
  • The frozen session meant the plan could not be further refined in the web UI
  • Required manual recovery of plan content via copy-paste
