[BUG] Claude Desktop Windows - Quick Bar open animation flickers on repeated invocations

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Apr 5, 2026 by dimitris93 Closed Apr 9, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When invoking the Quick Bar (the floating search bar) on Claude Desktop for Windows, the first invocation animates smoothly. Every subsequent invocation (dismiss and re-open) causes the open animation to flicker/break.

The flicker is sometimes too fast to capture in a screen recording but is clearly visible to the naked eye.

What Should Happen?

Smooth open animation every time.
