Problem Statement

Feature Request: Customizable Startup Mascot

The Claude Code welcome screen shows a cute pixel art robot. I'd love the ability to swap it out with a
custom image!

Proposed options (any would be great):

  • A config setting in settings.json pointing to a local image file
  • A ~/.claude/mascot.png convention Claude Code checks for automatically
  • Any other supported customization path

Why: Personalization makes the tool feel more fun and personal.
As a first use case — I made a custom Claude icon wearing a Cleveland Guardians hat
with a bedazzled C, and I'd love to see it on my startup screen every session. ⚾
