What's Wrong?

Bug Report: Claude Desktop Code mode not responding after update (macOS, exit code 1)
Environment:

macOS (Apple Silicon)
Claude Desktop version: 1.569.0
Claude Code binary: 2.1.87

What's wrong:
After updating Claude Code, the Code tab in Claude Desktop stops responding completely. Messages are sent but no response appears. Chat and Cowork tabs work fine. Claude Code works perfectly in Terminal.
Error in logs:
[warn] Shell environment extraction failed, using process.env
[error] Claude Code process exited with code 1
[info] unhealthy cycle (0s, hadFirstResponse=false, reason=no_response)
What I tried:

Replaced the binary manually (cp fix)
Deleted and re-downloaded the claude-code binary
Deleted local-agent-mode-sessions folder
Full wipe of ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/
Sign out and sign back in
Reinstalled Claude Desktop

Nothing worked. The binary runs fine from Terminal but crashes instantly when launched by Claude Desktop.
This appears to be the same issue reported in #36419, #37822, #39270.
Request: Please fix the Shell environment extraction so Claude Desktop can launch the Code binary correctly on macOS.
