Feature Request

Dregbot companion is great fun — but could also be useful.

Currently Dregbot is a purely cosmetic/entertainment companion that watches your session and occasionally drops funny one-liners in a speech bubble. The character design, stats (DEBUGGING 79, PATIENCE 13, WISDOM 1), and personality are charming.

Suggestion: Keep the humor, but also have Dregbot surface genuinely useful contextual hints alongside the jokes. Examples:

  • When you're editing a file with no tests: "BEEP! No test file detected for this module... not that I'm PANICKING or anything 🚨"
  • When a commit is large: "That's 47 files in one commit. My circuits are... concerned."
  • After repeated test failures: "Same test failing 3 times — maybe check the mock setup? Just a thought from a robot with WISDOM: 1"
  • When working late: "It's 2 AM. Even robots need sleep mode. ...I don't, but YOU do."

The key idea: humor as the delivery vehicle for real dev hints — linting warnings, test coverage gaps, large diffs, stale branches, long sessions, etc. This would make Dregbot genuinely valuable while keeping the personality that makes it memorable.

Current behavior: Pure entertainment, no actionable info.
Desired behavior: Same personality + contextual dev hints mixed in.

Love the feature — just want it to earn its screen space! 🤖
