Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Version: Claude Code 2.1.90
OS: Windows 11 Home 10.0.26200
Behavior: RAM usage grows continuously even while the session is idle (no tool calls, no messages). This appears to be an unbounded leak rather than normal context growth.
I can visibly watch task manager while having Claude Code idle in my terminal doing nothing and see the Memory usage continuously go up every 500ms. Within the time of writing this issue up, it has grown to 5,525 MB Memory used while completely idle doing nothing.
What Should Happen?
No memory leak
Error Messages/Logs
Steps to Reproduce
