What's Wrong?

I turned on my buddy (Warble, an epic robot) but they never say anything.

I checked with my coworkers, who have similar setups to me, and apparently their buddies do talk, and I am fairly jealous. One demoed it for me, and I'm 99% sure I'm not in a period of hyper focus and just missing it.

The main difference seems to be rarity level; mine is epic, while they all have common ones. I'm wondering if this could be an issue that's specific to epic buddies?

They do give little <3s when I pet them though, which I like.

My terminal is Ghostty, but I tried it in native terminal as well.

What Should Happen?

I should receive snarky commentary on my mistakes at irregular intervals

I have the same problem on Claude Code v2.1.91, ubuntu 24.04, kitty terminal.

Same for me, my axolotl never said a word (v2.1.91), macos terminal or iTerm2

Same here. But mine is described as a "a rare capibara of few words" which may explain the quietness, but very weird (and makes me sad 😢) that he doesn't talk AT ALL.

Thank you for trying /buddy — sorry you had this problem. I'd have to look further into your setup to investigate this more, however unfortunately the buddy was only added for April Fools this year, and we're removing them soon. I will close this issue as not planned
