[Bug] 1M context window incorrectly shown as extra billable usage on Max plan

Bug Description
⏺ Based on the research:
1M context is supposed to be included in your Max plan. This appears to be a known regression bug.
- March 13: Anthropic announced 1M context included by default for Max/Team/Enterprise plans
- March 20: Email confirmation sent — no extra usage required
- Late March (~27-28): A regression in Claude Code's model selector started incorrectly showing 1M context as "billed as extra usage"
This is a display/billing bug, not an intentional change. You should not be charged extra for 1M context on the $200/month Max plan.
I'd recommend:
- Run /feedback in Claude Code and report the issue with a screenshot
- Reference GitHub issues #34790 and #40223 which track this regression
- Contact Anthropic support if it's actively blocking your work
