Hatched a ghost buddy named "Snitch" — the name has a negative connotation (informer/tattletale) that makes the companion feel unwelcoming rather than fun.
Since buddy assignment is account-locked with no way to change it, a one-time reroll or species swap would go a long way. Even just the ability to rename would help.

Please add an option to fully disable the Buddy/Vellum companion. I don't want to customize it — I just want to hide it permanently and can't seem to turn it off now once launched.
