Problem Statement

Currently, Claude Code exports only logs and metrics, which is useful but limits our ability to perform in-depth analysis of the performance and quality of the agents and skills we use.

Proposed Solution

I would like to suggest integrating Claude Code with LLM observability tools, such as Langfuse. Adding the collection of traces would allow for deeper analysis and a better understanding of the behavior of agents and skills, enabling us to:

  • Assess the effectiveness of the agents used.
  • Identify areas of improvement in interactions.
  • Gather richer information about usage and quality of implementations.

Benefits:

  1. Detailed Analysis: The collection of traces would provide a more granular view of the internal workings of agents and skills.
  2. Continuous Improvement: With more comprehensive data, we can identify improvement areas and optimize the use of Claude Code.
  3. Informed Decision-Making: Access to richer metrics will help in evaluating performance and adopting best practices.

I believe this integration, or at least the export of traces, would greatly enhance the tool and the developer community using Claude Code.

Conclusion:

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I am available to discuss further how this improvement can be implemented.
