[BUG] Claude Code stops responding mid-task, Happening for 3 days.

What's Wrong?

Claude Code stops responding mid-task, appears to burn tokens without completing work. Happening for 3 days.
setup: Mac Mini M4, 16GB RAM, macOS Sequoia
VS Code extension v2.1.85
2 VS Code windows open

What Should Happen?

The system shouldn't hang.
