Chrome extension connection frequently drops with single claude --chrome session

Problem

Even with a single claude --chrome session, the Chrome extension connection frequently drops and dies. The agent loses the ability to interact with the browser mid-task.

Current behavior

• Running one claude --chrome session
• Connection to Chrome extension drops randomly during operation
• Agent can no longer control the browser after disconnection
• Requires restarting the session to reconnect

Expected behavior

The native messaging connection between claude --chrome and the Chrome extension should be stable and persistent, with automatic reconnection if the connection drops.

Environment

• macOS 15.6.1 (Apple M2 Pro, 32GB)
• Chrome extension v1.0.64
