Well, that´s nice. No more server overload errors. But now Claude is asking me to write code and if i understand the code, because he doesn't. And since today, sessions are a lot shorter between compactings. And after reincarnation Claude is even dumber than before. Will only partially read and respect the claude.md.
Every iteration of Claude instance is a complete gamble. Sometimes i'm getting a savant, coding like wild but without feedback of what he's doing. Sometimes i'm getting the character of my ex wife, arguing all the time and asking dumb questions while trying to get over the session without doing what it's actually supposed to do.
And code is baaaaad all the time. It does everything with timeouts instead oh callbacks. race conditions all over the code. When it removes debug prints, every removal will result in indentation erros. We had whole sessions just for removing unneccessary debug prints, fixing indentations and timeout function race condidtions. That is a very unpleasant experience paying so much money for the max subscription while 80% of tokens are used for cleaning up the mess and arguing with my ex wife.

Anthropic, when you fix server overloads, here is a hot tip: don't use your AI to do it. Do it yourself.

It would be more practical if they tried to nerf it down without giving us the dumb version. I would be ok to use the best version within limited time. I spend 10 hours to do 1 hour job today, instead they could simply give us the best version for 1 hour, at least i would do my work effectively in that limited time and 9 hours would be mine...

Mine has been getting API Errors for the past 18 hours. Hasn't worked at all.

existing users should get pro rata refunds

Agreed. By now this got a behaviour flaw. Claude is lazy. Too lazy to get itself the needed context what will result in redundant or dead code all over. It is bloating code instead of fixing it. Since i began this thread i am still busy fixing things and since then i wasn't able to actually develop and do my job. Although i am using agents for debugging and whatnots
Claude is a very expensive banana product. Arrives at the customer and is still green. They should actually PAY ME to use it. Feels very alpha and is only usable for very small code bases.

We have recently shipped /context, which should help you see if there's context bloat added by hooks, CLAUDE.md, etc. that you can remove.
