  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

The current /insights feature provides useful visibility into usage patterns, but it lacks transparency around the environmental impact of AI usage. As AI systems scale, users and organizations are increasingly concerned about sustainability factors such as energy consumption, carbon emissions, and water usage.

Without this information, users cannot fully understand or make informed decisions about the environmental cost of their workflows. This is especially relevant for teams with sustainability goals, reporting requirements, or internal accountability standards.

Proposed Solution

Extend the /insights section to include environmental impact metrics associated with usage. This could include:

Estimated energy consumption (kWh)
Estimated carbon emissions (CO₂ equivalent)
Estimated water usage (liters)
Optional breakdown per request, session, or time period
Aggregated trends over time (e.g. weekly/monthly impact)

Where exact measurement is not feasible, modeled estimates based on industry benchmarks would still provide meaningful directional insight.
