[BUG] 20m for a single line edit
Resolved 💬 4 comments Opened Mar 25, 2026 by sboden Closed Apr 24, 2026
Preflight Checklist

- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Claude Code is taking a very long time for seemingly small changes. I have been working to the same codebase for a couple of weeks but only started noticing the very long pauses since this week.
Claude code suggest single line edits, and goes away to apply them... and then it usually takes 20 to 30 minutes, not even always ending. I'm using Sonnet 4.6, medium effort.
What Should Happen?
It should take seconds for single line edits, not 20 minutes.
