[BUG] Incorrect Increment in “Thinking Duration” When Opening Dropdown

What's Wrong?

In the Claude Code extension, each time I tap the “Thinking duration” dropdown (e.g., “Thought for _s”), the displayed duration increases automatically.

What Should Happen?

Opening the response's “Thinking duration” dropdown should not change the displayed duration.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Claude Code extension in VS Code.
  2. Enable “Thinking” mode.
  3. Enter a prompt and wait for the response.
  4. In the response, tap the “Thought for _s” (Thinking duration) dropdown arrow.
  5. Observe that the displayed duration increases automatically each time the dropdown is opened.
