What's Wrong?

Title: Cowork stuck on "Setting up Claude's workspace" — Windows 10 Pro, latest version
Description:
Environment:

OS: Windows 10 Pro
Claude Desktop version: 1.1.8359 (64248d)
Subscription: Pro
Hyper-V: Enabled

What's wrong:
Cowork is permanently stuck on the "Setting up Claude's workspace" loading screen. It never completes and shows no error message.
What I tried:

Enabled Hyper-V via PowerShell (was Disabled, now Enabled)
Restarted the computer
Cleared cache via Help → Troubleshooting
Full uninstall and reinstall of Claude Desktop
Verified Windows Firewall allows Claude on both Private and Public networks
Updated to the latest version (1.1.8359)

Nothing has resolved the issue. Cowork has never successfully initialized on this system.
Expected behavior:
Cowork should complete setup and be ready to use.

None of these resolved the issue. The screen never progresses past the loading stage.
Expected behavior:
Setup should complete and Cowork should be ready to use.

Steps to Reproduce

Install Claude Desktop on Windows 10 Pro
Enable Hyper-V via PowerShell
Restart the computer
Open Claude Desktop and click the Cowork tab
Observe: screen is permanently stuck on "Setting up Claude's workspace" with a progress bar that never completes and no error message
