Feature Request: New session (Cmd+N) should inherit currently selected status/label filter

Feature Request

When a status or label is currently selected/filtered in the session list, pressing Cmd+N to start a new session should automatically apply that status and/or label to the new session.

Current Behavior

New sessions always start with the workspace default status, regardless of what status or label is currently selected in the sidebar or filter view.

Desired Behavior

If I have, for example, the "Blue Strand" label selected and I press Cmd+N, the new session should automatically have the "Blue Strand" label applied. Same for status filters.

Why This Would Help

  • Reduces context-switching friction — if you're already working in a filtered view, new sessions should naturally belong to that context
  • Especially helpful for users who use labels to route sessions into workflow automations (e.g., auto-assigning to project boards based on label)
  • Reduces the chance of forgetting to apply a label/status, which can break downstream automations

Workaround

Currently none — users must manually apply the label/status after creating each new session.
