What's Wrong?

Bug: "Prompt too long" error when sending short messages in Dispatch

What's wrong:
Dispatching any message — even a single word like "test" — returns a "prompt too long" error immediately.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Claude mobile app
  2. Navigate to Dispatch
  3. Type a short message (e.g. "test")
  4. Send
  5. Receive "prompt too long" error

Expected behavior:
Short messages should send and process normally.

Actual behavior:
Error: "prompt too long" — even with a 1-word message.

My theory:
The persistent conversation thread has accumulated enough history that the context is already at or near the token limit before my new message is even added. Since there's no way to start a fresh thread, the thread is essentially unusable.

Platform: iOS / Claude mobile app
Plan: Pro
Latest app version: Yes
