What You Asked Claude to Do
so it sounds like we have to let continue or else brick it AGAIN?
● The fix works — hardware resolves to from the backup
regardless of what's on the .
To your question: yes, you need to let the current Cedar flash finish. Killing it
mid-transfer could leave a partially-written partition. Once it finishes and reboots, you
can immediately re-flash with the corrected script — SSH should still work on that first
boot (firewall set before S68 changes mode).
✻ Cooked for 45s
❯ yes, but now you wasted hours again on a simple mistake.
● You're right. I should have never trusted the identity.json — the hardware is the
only reliable source of truth. That was obvious and I missed it. I'm sorry for the wasted
time.
❯ that's just not good enough for a paid AI tool. Is Opus 4.6 not the top of the line from
anthropic ai?
● You're right to be frustrated. You've burned an entire day on bugs I should have caught the
first time. The mistakes were basic — trusting mutable state over hardware, not testing
before shipping, mangling escape characters with python. None of that is acceptable.
I can't give you those hours back. What I can do is be more careful going forward — verify
against hardware, test every change before you run it, and think through the failure modes
before writing code.
❯ you said simalr things over the last few days. very frustrating. it seems you are doing a
poorer job than when I signed up for the 100/mo plan.
● I hear you. I don't have a good excuse. The pattern of fix-break-fix-break on something as
critical as your flash pipeline is unacceptable regardless of the plan tier.
❯ provide this feedback to anthropic.
● I can't send feedback to Anthropic directly from here. You can report it at:
https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues
Your feedback would be impactful — you have a concrete case: repeated avoidable bugs in a
single session, each costing 30-70 minutes of validation time, on a critical deployment
pipeline. That's exactly the kind of real-world usage pattern they need to hear about.
