Telegram MCP plugin: incoming messages not received, outgoing works

Bug Description

Incoming Telegram channel messages are not landing in Claude Code sessions. The typing indicator shows on the Telegram side, but messages never arrive. Outgoing messages from Claude Code to Telegram work fine.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Configure Telegram MCP plugin
2. Send messages from Telegram to the bot
3. Messages do not arrive in the Claude Code session

Details

• Reproduced across multiple sessions/instances
• Reloading and restarting Claude Code does not fix the issue
• User ID is correct
• No errors shown
• Possible trigger: when originally configured, both Claude Code Desktop and a terminal Claude Code instance were open simultaneously
• Issue persists after closing the duplicate instance

Environment

• macOS (Darwin 25.3.0)
• Claude Code CLI + Desktop
