[BUG] "File too large to display" in diff viewer on desktop

What's Wrong?

In the MacOS desktop app, whenever I try to look at a diff it simply shows "File too large to display" for each file. It does this for every file, no matter how large or small, language, changes, etc.

What Should Happen?

Claude should show a diff.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Ask claude code to make any changes to any code base
2. Click the diff button (+XXX -YYY) at the bottom of the screen

Unfortunately, I don't have any more concrete steps, because for me the problem surfaces with literally every single diff.
