• OS: macOS 26.2
• Claude Code: v2.1.77
• Node: v22.20.0
• Shell: zsh
• Terminal: Ghostty

Behavior: Opus 4.6 fails with API Error: 500 {"type":"api_error","message":"Internal server error"} after ~49s. Sonnet works fine.

I had the same, but quite sure. we are hundreds. Have it since something like half an. hour, so I decided to test what they call real world... 🍭

Ok, I found the solution: just restart Claude and resume a session you were blocked at and it will be ok. The system will unblock the request if it's wrongly put into throttling.

Getting same error. Had it about an hour ago, restarted chat. Seemed to be working. Then got error again in 2 separate chats at same time. Claude states the issue is on their end using the windows app. My errors were in the CMD window using Claude there. All my usage is below 16% so no concerns there.

this was a crazy bug. one feedback I received was to switch to API key, for sure this will gas up your payment hahahaha
