Feature request: Conversation organization (folders / subcategories / workspaces)

Summary

Ability to organize Claude Code sessions/conversations into folders, subcategories, or workspaces — similar to how other AI coding tools (e.g., Antigravity) let you group chats by project area or topic.

Use case

Power users running many sessions across different workstreams (e.g., comms, dashboard, newsletter, planning) in the same project directory. Currently /resume shows a flat list of recent sessions with no way to categorize or filter them.

When you're running 5-10+ conversations per day across different areas of the same repo, it becomes hard to find and resume the right session.

Suggested approaches (any of these would help)

  • Named folders or tags for conversations
  • Ability to label or rename sessions beyond the first message
  • Workspace-level grouping in the VS Code extension sidebar
  • Filter/search within /resume list

Context

Other AI coding tools already offer workspace-based chat organization with sidebar subcategories. This would make Claude Code more competitive for power users who rely on it as their primary development interface.
