[BUG] Claude for Chrome extension fails to connect, even tho a connection seems to be established

What's Wrong?

Extension used to connect to the desktop app just fine. Now it doesn't work both in Claude Code and in the desktop app. Nothing seems to help.

• Manual connectNative from the service worker console works perfectly (ping → pong)
• But the extension's own connection logic fails silently
• Started after macOS Tahoe update + Claude Code install
• Extension version 1.0.62

What Should Happen?

The connection should allow the extension to communicate with Claude Code/Claude desktop app.

Error Messages/Logs

No error messages, Claude just fails to use tools and says there is actually no connection.

Steps to Reproduce

Unclear. It just happened when I tried to use the extension for the first time after both the macOS update and the Claude Code setup on the Terminal
