What's Wrong?

/mcp slash command shows "No MCP servers configured" despite servers being configured and connected

Actual: /mcp always shows "No MCP servers configured" regardless of what claude mcp list shows

What Should Happen?

Expected: /mcp should show the same server list and connection status as claude mcp list

Steps to Reproduce

  1. claude mcp add --transport http --scope local MyServer https://example.com/mcp
  2. claude mcp list → shows MyServer: ✓ Connected
  3. Run /mcp in Claude Code TUI → shows "No MCP servers configured"
