Feature request: Voice mode support in VS Code extension

Feature request

The /voice command (hold Space to record, with configurable dictation language) is currently only available in the CLI terminal. It would be great to have this functionality also available in the VS Code chat extension.

Use case

Voice dictation is very useful for hands-free interaction, especially when describing complex tasks or when typing is inconvenient. Having it integrated directly in the VS Code extension would improve the workflow for users who prefer the IDE-based chat over the terminal.

Current behavior

• /voice works in Claude Code CLI (terminal)
• Not available in the VS Code extension

Desired behavior

• Voice mode available in the VS Code extension chat panel, with the same features (hold-to-record, configurable language, etc.)
