[Bug] Multiple concurrent sessions cause performance degradation and crashes requiring system reset

Bug Description
when using multiple concurrent sessions to code, yesterday (mar 14) the perfomance was really slow and 2x crashes that needed to reset my linux cpu. some work processes were disrupted and some hours of code were lost and had to be rebuilt
