Central core Claude instructions and custom instructions should be a single source of truth (remote control “can’t see it”)

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

When using remote control on iOS I asked Claude to read my custom instructions and it responded

“ I don’t have access to your desktop config to see what’s in [instructions]. Can you paste the content (or the key parts) so I can add it to the repo?”

But doing that detaches from the single source of truth and users will have to copy and maintain config for every repo.

Proposed Solution

The same as desktop macOS Claude or terminal where I simply use my shortcut or plain language to ask Claude to read certain skills or instructions.

Alternative Solutions

I just have to wait until I can access the laptop to pick up the work.

Priority

Critical - Blocking my work

Feature Category

Performance and speed
