[Feature Request] Restore welcome screen with personalized greeting and recent activity panel

Bug Description
I miss the welcome screen. it was a much warmer experience. The personalized greeting, the robot with the little star, the recent activity panel -- it had personality. The current version feels more utilitarian by comparison.
