Minimize Distracting Progress Indicators During Model Generation

Question

**Bug Description**
The variations such as `✽ Percolating… (9s · esc to interrupt)` are distracting for me — it takes me away from thinking about the next change while the model is working which makes me less efficient. Ideally the majority of the "HUD" would stay the same actually rather than acting like a chat.

At the least though
- using a consistent, non-attention taking, 'pending' state
- would be great to left pad numbers to a reasonable width to avoid excess movement
