Statusline not starting in specific project folder

Description

Statusline doesn't start in one specific project folder but works in all other folders.

Environment

• Claude Code version: 2.1.72
• Platform: macOS (Darwin 25.3.0)

Details

• Global statusLine config in ~/.claude/settings.json is correct
• No project-level statusLine override in .claude/settings.local.json
• The statusline shell script executes correctly when run manually in that directory
• Same CC version across all folders
• Project .claude/ directory only contains settings.local.json
• Restarting Claude Code multiple times doesn't fix it
• Deleting .claude/tsc-cache didn't help

Steps to reproduce

Unable to pinpoint exact trigger — the project is a small Node.js repo with standard files. No obvious difference from other projects where statusline works fine.
