Tip suggests /btw command which does not exist
Resolved 💬 4 comments Opened Mar 11, 2026 by Marcel-Bich Closed Mar 11, 2026
Description
Claude Code shows the following tip in the UI:
Tip: Use /btw to ask a quick side question without interrupting Claude's current work
When typing /btw, the response is:
Unknown skill: btw
The /btw command does not exist as a skill or built-in command, but the tip suggests it does.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Claude Code
- Wait for the tip to appear (or cycle through tips)
- See the tip about
/btw - Type
/btwfollowed by a message - Get "Unknown skill: btw" error
Expected behavior
Either:
- The
/btwcommand should work as described in the tip - Or the tip should be removed if the feature does not exist
Environment
- Claude Code (latest version as of 2026-03-11)
- Ubuntu 24.04
