[FEATURE] Conversation History

Problem Statement

There is no settings for conversation history. You can manually delete conversations, but nothing automated. Having different settings would be very nice. Especially if there was a setting to keep history only locally.

Also, a bit off-topic, but asking claude how to prevent automatic saving of history, it gives weird answer :

I tried in claude desktop app, and in claude.ai web app (firefox), and could not find the setting mentionned anywhere.

I assume "Disable Search and reference" and "Disable memory" is actually the same and is named "Generate memory from chat history".
If those specific settings like search and reference/disable memory/pause memory really exists, I'm curious where that is haha.

Proposed Solution

Give many settings for history :
1) Never save conversations
2) Automatically delete history when closing the App
3) Keep conversation for [choose Number of days] online (Max : whatever your rule is)
4) Keep conversation locally in [choose folder] (Max : [choose Number of conversation / choose Maximum size / etc.])

Having the option to keep history only locally would be very helpful for privacy!
