What's Wrong?

There is a setting that seem to "randomly" go back to Auto every so often in the desktop app

The specific setting is Capabilities -> Tool access.
I put it on "On Demand" and it goes back to "Auto", sometimes when I restart the app, sometimes even while still in the app. I could not figure out exactly how to easily reproduce, it feels a bit random.

Claude himself is telling me I should stop "automatic updates", albeit this is not an option in the desktop app.

What Should Happen?

Claude desktop app should remember the settings and not change it back (maybe by going back to default settings when trying to check update?)

Steps to Reproduce

run claude desktop app
Go to Settings -> Capabilities -> Tool access
Put On Demand
Wait a bit, restart app, change other settings (not entirely sure on the exact step, claude says it may be because of check for update)
Go back to settings -> see it's now on Auto

I don't use Claude Code, only Claude Desktop App (claude ai sent me there preferentially, but it also said I could try https://support.anthropic.com/ as well.
Hopefully here is indeed the correct way to give feedback.
