[DOCS] Voice input docs missing supported STT language coverage for v2.1.69 update

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Mar 5, 2026 by coygeek Closed Mar 18, 2026

Documentation Type

Missing documentation (feature not documented)

Documentation Location

https://code.claude.com/docs/en/interactive-mode

Section/Topic

Voice input / speech-to-text (STT) language support.

Current Documentation

No documentation currently enumerates Claude Code voice STT language support (including the newly added languages in v2.1.69).

What's Wrong or Missing?

Changelog v2.1.69 added 10 new voice STT languages (20 total), but docs do not list supported languages or where users can verify language availability.

Without a language support list, users cannot reliably determine whether voice input should work in their language.

Suggested Improvement

Add a voice input section that includes:

  • A supported-language list (and total count)
  • Where this applies (CLI/Remote Control, if different)
  • A brief note on how to confirm voice availability in-session

Impact

Medium - Makes feature difficult to understand

Additional Context

Affected Pages:

| Page | Context |
|------|---------|
| https://code.claude.com/docs/en/interactive-mode | Primary interactive usage docs should describe voice/STT capabilities |
| https://code.claude.com/docs/en/slash-commands | Slash command reference is a likely discovery point for voice features |

Total scope: 2 pages affected

Source: Changelog v2.1.69

Exact changelog entry:

Added Voice STT support for 10 new languages (20 total) — Russian, Polish, Turkish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Greek, Czech, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian
