What's Wrong?

Windows 11 Pro, clean reinstall, Hyper-V enabled, still getting the "virtualization service isn't responding" error after multiple restarts.

What Should Happen?

Cowork should detect that Hyper-V is enabled and start the workspace successfully.

Error Messages/Logs

"Virtualization is not availableClaude's workspace requires Hyper-V, but the virtualization service isn't responding. Restart your computer to resolve this."

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Desktop on Windows 11 Pro
  2. Open Claude Desktop and navigate to the Cowork tab
  3. Observe the error: "Virtualization is not available. Claude's workspace requires Hyper-V, but the virtualization service isn't responding."
  4. Restart computer — error persists
  5. Uninstall Claude Desktop, delete %APPDATA%\Claude and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Claude, reinstall — error still persists
