Remote Control: "not yet enabled for your account" on Max plan (v2.1.63)

Plan: Max ($200/month)
OS: macOS (Darwin 25.2.0)

Description

Remote Control is completely inaccessible despite meeting all documented requirements (Max plan, latest CLI version, authenticated via claude.ai).

Reproduction

All three entry points produce the same error:

$ claude remote-control
Error: Remote Control is not yet enabled for your account.

• claude remote-control — same error
• /remote-control (from inside a session) — same error
• /rc (from inside a session) — same error

Expected Behavior

Remote Control should start and display a session URL/QR code per the documentation.

Environment

• Authenticated via claude.ai (not API key)
• Workspace trust accepted
• macOS, zsh shell
