What's Wrong?
Title: Web/desktop sessions hang on "Cloning repo" — mobile works fine
Environment:
- Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200
- Chrome + Claude Code Windows app — both hang
- Claude Android app — works on same WiFi network
- No proxy, no VPN
Symptoms:
- Session hangs on "Cloning repo" indefinitely
- Eventually shows "retry connection" button
- Browser console shows 404s on git_proxy/compare for old session IDs
- New session initializes (initSession log visible) but never connects
Diagnostics performed:
- Same repo boots in ~24s on mobile (hook timing confirmed)
- No Windows proxy (netsh winhttp show proxy = direct)
- Cleared browser cache/site data — no change
- Repo is 95MB, not unusually large
