Improve MCP reload so it re-reads linked config too, or add /reload to recheck for and reload all config files mid conversation
Hey all, a reconnect feature is available in the latest release v1.0.64 :) sorry for the delay on this. It is available via /mcp, and then going to the tool (as screenshotted below), but you can also type /mcp reconnect <server_name> <img width="697" height="168" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4a45bfae-2ead-4689-90cd-a2d3e83e51e5" /> This will allow you to reset individual MCP servers.

This didn't solve the closed issue which specifically mentioned reloading configs too. It appears one must close claude instead. Disable and enable doesn't reload config, nor reconnect.
My case is a specific project level mcp.json entry, that I got claude to update the arguments too (the executable playwright was attempting to use), and now wish to reload the config to use the updated arguments without closing claude code.
It probably makes sense to recheck for any new and existing mcp files existence (project and user level) and timestamp (then contents if required) whenever the user types /mcp or have a /reload option for reloading all config files mid conversation.
