Bash NPM Commands Consistently Timing Out in Claude

Question

**Bug Description**
When claude performs bash npm commands like run dev, or npm install or prune it times out with exit code 143. Almost without fail. When I run those commands in my project directory in my own terminal window, it runs almost immediately and in less than 1 second it's done. I've taken to running those commands in another terminal but am not sure if claude will know about it, so I'm worried I should keep things running in the claude terminal but don't want to wait so much.
