Import Conversation shows '(no message preview)' for all entries

Description

The Import Conversation picker shows (no message preview) for every single conversation entry, making it impossible to identify which conversation to import.

Screenshot

All 38 conversations display with only a relative timestamp and (no message preview) — no useful content to distinguish them:

  • Conversations are grouped by directory, which helps somewhat
  • But every entry just shows e.g. 1d ago (no message preview) with zero context about what the conversation was about

Expected Behavior

Each conversation entry should show a preview of the first user message (or first assistant response) so users can identify and select the right conversation to import.

Impact

Without message previews, users have to guess which conversation to import based solely on the timestamp and working directory. With 38+ conversations, this makes the feature largely unusable — you'd need to import multiple conversations by trial and error to find the one you want.

Environment

  • Claude Code CLI
  • macOS
