[Bug] IDE connection lost after /clear command without reconnection option

Bug Description
If already connected to IDE and we enter /clear, the connection to IDE vanishes, which is not desirable. Even if this is desirable, going again to connect to the IDE shows that the connection already exists(but it does not work), which leads to another step of first disconnecting it and then reconnecting it.
