when trying to use Claude Code on VS Code in an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1620 v2 @ 3.70GHz machine

What Should Happen?

The machine should be capable of using Claude Code as VS Code extension

  2. Open Claude Code chat on VS Code

From Claude Sonnet:

The Xeon E5-1620 v2 is a powerful chip but it's from a generation that predates AVX2, and unfortunately more software is starting to require it as a baseline. This is worth flagging to Anthropic since it's not an obvious requirement.
