Hitting the same issue. My request ID: req_011CYPNtKARu3otLsGUCowrk

Context: The 500 is hitting mid-way through a long autonomous agentic session. In this case the session was executing a VM deployment workflow — copying scripts via SCP to an Azure VM, then SSHing in to run them. The SSH step returned output successfully, then the next API call returned the 500.
Environment:

  • Platform: win32
  • Terminal: Windows Terminal
  • Version: 2.1.50

Previously was also hitting 500s when sending images in a separate session — looks like the same underlying issue at different times.

Getting the same, basically making Claude Code unusable right now.

Everything was working fine last night on 2.1.47, in the new session this morning with 2.1.50 I am experiencing these same errors and/or Claude Code just stopping mid progress with no error. Nothin is able to run for longer than a minute or two.

Same issue here. Intermittent 500s during normal Claude Code sessions.

Environment:

  • Claude Code v2.1.45
  • macOS (Darwin 25.3.0)
  • Model: claude-opus-4-6 (default, no override)
  • Provider: Anthropic API (direct, not Bedrock)
  • Auth: OAuth

Request IDs:

  • req_011CYPhsh4jvvwHEaPRuvLm5
  • req_011CYPhar9TgY7ZwMTVwXTXF
  • req_011CYPhEwV89VV3Q5KDk3Tgs

Errors occur at various context sizes, including early in sessions. Likely related to the ongoing Feb 18 incident on status.claude.com ("Intermittent errors in skills-related functionality"), still in "Investigating" status as of Feb 22.

Hi, I just started getting this error too:

API Error: 500 {“type”:“error”,“error”:{“type”:“api_error”,“message”:“Internal server error”},‘request_id’:“req_011CZ9EeqJkDTr6Vdoh8pbBT”}

Nothing works anymore. This happened after I started working on a big project in Tasmota and updated to the latest version at noon today—it’s really frustrating!
