Feature Request: add ability to open VSCode panes like additional terminal sessions

Add tools to programmatically open terminal sessions, split panes, etc. Currently Claude can open diff panes but not other VS Code UI elements like terminals for monitoring long-running processes. Right now Claude keeps sequentially trying to run tail commands to watch the output but times out every two minutes. It could instead open a pane for the user to watch progress and then prompt when it's stopped or otherwise gone wrong.
